post an IPCONFIG /ALL
from your PC - see later

have you installed the drivers for the card OK

download and run this software - if you can connect to the internet - or transfer the file
Free software to check signal strength of wireless is netstumbler 0.4.0 available for download from http://www.stumbler.net/

ipconfig /all

TWO Methods to do that - some people have problems with ONE----

ONE ---------------------------------
start
run
cmd
ipconfig /all

rightclick in the box
select all
enter
control key + C key - to copy
then reply here and
control key + V to paste

TWO -----------------------------------------------

Start, Run, CMD to open a DOS window and type:

IPCONFIG /ALL >C:\RESULT.TXT

Open C:\RESULT.TXT with Notepad and copy/paste the entire results here.

goto my network connections
right click on the wirless connection
see if it says enable or disable at the top - if enable - then click on it

have a look in device manager
start>
control panel>
system>
hardware tab>
device manager button>

network adapters
click on the + sign

post backs whats there

also any ! X or ?

-----------------------
i dont know much about livebox - only read a little on the website

is the wireless signal encrpted ?? have you put a passcode on it

do you have a cordless phone

- the software posted would help - test the adapter and see the wireless signal if there

Hi The wireless connection is enabled
I have a cordless phone one is connected to the livebox for internet calls and also have cordless for my landline too. The adaptor that came with the livebox has worked fine with my laptop with the cordless phones this has just started since trying to install the Belkin.

Under Device manager were as follows:

1394 net adaptor#2
Belkin 802.11g wireless card
IEEE 802.11b miniPCI wireless net adaptor
SiS 900-Based PCI Fast Ethernet adaptor

There is a WEP code for the livebox but cant put this in till it can recognise the livebox!!

Tryed to download the software but web page wont come up for the download.

Cheers...

you seem to have two wireless adapters on the PC
they could be a conflict

post make model of laptop

did you instal the belkin wireless utility - that may be in conflict with the windows WZC

i would not reset your laptop

do you have any thing working through thelivebox - with a cable ??
if so maybe you could download the software and copy on DVD/cd or usb flash drive
