Router, adaptor installed, now what?
I just bought a new hard drive with Windows Vista Home Premier installed. I have a laptop operating Windows XP that is only a few months old. I want to set up a home network between these two. I have a Netgear wireless router installed and Netgear wireless usb 2.0 adapter installed on the PC running vista. Both laptop and pc access the internet fine through the router. The Geek Squad tech that installed the hard drive today, said all I had to do now was check the file sharing on both and communication between the two would be complete. Not as easy as it sounds, I know just enough to be dangerous ! How do I configure each operating system to access files and folders and share printer that is attached to the PC? Please be specific. I don't want to mess anything up. Your advice is greatly appreciated.
