Drivers for NIC cards
I have a new gateway notebook and it came with windows VISTA. I hate it! The problem is I cannnot find drivers for the 2 nic cards with it
I think these are the driver names:
marvell yukon 88E8030 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller
and
Realtek 8185 Extensible 802.11b/g wireless device. Please help me?

If it's brand new, The NICs should be installed and working properly. Why do you think you need drivers? A new brand name computer should not be a "do it yourself" kit.

First, I agree with DoubleHelix.

Second, I think that both those should be included in the chipset drivers set.

I suggest you contact Gateway, and have them check it out for you.

Driver problems
I'm sorry! Let me clarify a little....I want to put XP on the notebook, but need the NIC drivers to get on the net. I put windows XP on with vista and the nics only work on the vista....and Vista won't run about 5 of my favorite programs. I contacted gateway, and they told me they could only support the operating system that was on the computer.

I think you're out of luck if they don't have the drivers. I did a look around, but I don't find any XP drivers for those devices.
