Solved: Slingbox and port opening at work. I recently installed a slingbox, which works great on my laptop computer. I installed the software at work and am unable to get a connection. In talking with the sling people, I need to have Port 5001 open. My problem is I am behind the "corporate" firewall. Is the only way to get the port open to receive the Slingbox by contacting the IT folks at work or is there someway to do this? The firewall is Trend Micro and it doesn't give me the option of turning it off. If you need any other information, please let me know. Thanks. |
