Solved: Moving file from one domain to another
Im moving from an old server to a new server with a new domain. I have copied over files but I was not able to make changes to the files. Now on the new server I can (retook ownership) but on workstations I cannot make changes to the files even logged in as the domain administrator. Please any help?

I just discovered that if I go to the same file location from the remote computer using the full unc path that I can changes file but I cannot by going through the mapped drive.

By UNC path do you mean the ADMINISTRATIVE SHARE like C$ or D$? If it works that way but not rhough a mapped drive, check the SHARE rights on the server. They could be set ot read-only. Remember the most RESTRICTIVE SHARE RIGHTS ALWAYS override NTFS Rights.
