Gigabit question
Greets.
1st post here, so bare with me.

Here's the issue I seem to be having.

We just purchased Lenovos M57 - 6072-C1U desktop computers that came with the Intel 82566DM-2 Gigabit network adaptor. We have a GB switch that is used for these computers, and CAT6 cables linking them.

WinXP Pro is installed on these machines along with the full range of updates. The problem is that when I switch the card to suck on the Gigabit connection, the LEDs on the card go from Orange/Green to Orange/Red. If on the other hand we leave it to 100/Full, the lights are Orange/Green and all is working fine.

Got in touch with our supplier and they tell us that there should NOT be a red LED on the card.

Has anyone gotten that issue before, and has anyone got a fix for this?
I've tried about everything I could think of going from looking for updated drivers and updated chipset for the Mobo. Nothing seems to be doing it.

Thanks a bunch guys.

I'd have to believe this is a driver issue. I have a number of different gigabit NIC's here, and they're all played nice together. I did have a driver issue that refused to allow gigabit operation last year, but I finally got the updated driver that made it work.
