Some users not able to get a networked printer online
I have ten users on a workgroup. A Sharp MX-2300N printer is showing offline on two users and I can't get it back online. They previously had no issues using the printer. Others so far, have no issues printing to that printer.
These two users can ping the ip address of the printer successfully.
Any suggestions on how I can get this printer back online would be appreciated.

I think I'd start by uninstalling and reinstalling the printer drivers on one of the machines. Maybe something is corrupted and has caused the issue.

Not to state the obvious but have you ensured the driver isn't set to Use printer offline?

Thank you for your responses.
Both users can print to the printer using the printer that was shared by another user. The original install that they previously was able to use is still "offline".
The Use Printer Offline option when you right-click the printer is not checked.
By any chance could this be a permission issue?

That might be the case... the original install may have some files in some other part of the OS that may not be accessible or something. I know if you connect to a shared printer it loads the files to the %systemroot%\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86 and that is enough for the spooler to spool to the system with the entire driver loaded. Maybe check other folders on a working machine and compare them to the permissions on a non working? (Of course your gonna check the permissions of the olther folders that Sharp MX-2300N printer goes to).

Have you tried adding the user to the print operators group?
