Solved: Sharing internet connection
I have two computers sharing the same router. The problem is when one computer is downloading or streaming from the web, it uses all of the bandwidth. So the other computer cant even load simple web pages. Is there a way I can can limit each computer so that each one can only use half the bandwidth?

The make/model, and hardware version of the router would be real useful here. If the router has QoS capability, I'd look into configuring that.

Hardware Version: 2700-100594-004

as seen here-

I don't know if it has QoS capability or how to configure it.

Most consumer routers concentrate their bandwidth controls on upstream bandwidth control because upload speed is usually much lower than download.

The Edimax BR-6504n is one of the few I've found that has simple up and downstream bandwidth controls. It's wireless, but you can just shut that off and use the routing portion.

I don't want to buy another router.
Can my router limit bandwidth?
