Hey guys, I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to look at this post. Anyway, I'll get right to the chase, just recently I have purchased the
Motorola SB5120 modem and the
Linksys WRT546 router, the reason being is because my old modem was extremely out-dated and we needed an easier way to connect my two other computers. All has been working fine until this past week or so, and it seems that my modem just likes to go into a standby state, by itself, from 11 a.m. until 8-9 p.m. central. This will occur regularly about every 5 minutes to an hour for the entire day, the "standby" mode will last for only about 10 seconds, usually just long enough to kick me off from whatever I may be doing at the time. The modem says its working fine though, and even the Cox guy said it was running at optimal performance. At first I believed it to be just some minor difficulties with the network I setup for my family, but that wasn't the case. I've tried resetting everything and just starting from scratch but nothing works. We called the Cox Support team, again, and again, I was told to reset everything. If anyone has any solutions, please let me know. Thank you.
