Windows Update KB951748 Kills ZoneAlarm
A Heads Up for folks that run ZoneAlarm, there is an issue with one of the recent Windows updates, KB951748. Here's a thread here with more information.

I killed half a day yesterday chasing this ghost... suspecting everything but a conflict between a Windows update and ZoneAlarm.

Sigh...

For those of you affected by the MSFT / ZoneAlarm conflict, and have not tried the fix yet, I can confirm that the new version of ZoneAlarm (build 70_483_000) now plays nicely with the MS update KB951748.

Microsoft also has a Security Bulletin out on the issue. Of course, they're saying it's not their fault, but it's interesting to see what has been addressed by this fix.
