Unable to connect to the internet
My parents use AOL v 9 dial up for their internet connection. Last week, they bought a new PC - Compaq Presario with Vista. I have been trying to set up their dial up connection. I go to Connect To and use their aol screen name and pw. I enter the same phone number they used on their old machine to connect to aol. The connections sounds like it is going through, but then I get an error saying the username and pw can't be found.

I have turned off the user control. I have tried to install aol v9 on their machine. I downloaded it from aol on my laptop and saved to a disc. When I try to install it on their machine, I get an error that says the download was unable to establinsh a connection.

I'm completely baffled. I don't remember it being this challenging to set up internet access.

Any advice? Thank you
