How do you know that's what is being entered? The password should be masked by asterisks or dots. If you're actually seeing the letters of your password, something is amiss. If, instead, you're seeing the number of dots increase beyond the length of the actual password as you type it, that's normal behavior, a security measure.

Your correct, I only see dots when I enter the password. When I press the letter "p" I see three dots so I was assuming the letter p is being entered 3 times. I guess I have the wrong password. I thought it would be the same as my other router from Verizon. They changed the router when I added TV service to my package.
Does anyone know the password for Verizon Router made by Actiontec?

Do you have a manual that came with the router?

Ignore the display, the multiple *** are a security measure. If you type the correct password, it will be recognized. I'm guessing this is the Actiontec MI-424WR.
