Post VistaMac.WiFiNet
Hi there. This is my first time on TSG, so i hope this fits into this category.

My brother has a Macbook Pro and i have a Dell Latitude D620 with built-in HSDPA 1.8. What we want to do, is connect ad-hoc wirelessly, then use my modem for both notebooks. I do not know the legality/illegality of this (my contract is fully paid each month, and it is my internet cap that gets used, as far as i know).

Sorry for making it such a long story, but i really don't want to go illegal, and we really wish to know how to do this.

When we connect with the WiFi, we can see each other (or rather - my Vista sees his Tiger, but the Tiger sometimes sees Vista, sometimes not). But when we attempted to access the internet from the Mac, it says that it cannot do so.

Can somebody help me, please?

Make this easy and buy a cheap wireless router.

Thank you, maybe i should. But is there really no way to ad-hoc notebook-to-notebook and use my modem for us both?
