Ethernet cables can be had for $5 or less, I think it's time to buy or borrow one.

Alright, I'll see if I can get my hands on one.

But, since the other computer can connect to the router with a wireless USB connector, and I can't with my built in wireless adapter, wouldn't it be either a distance issue, or a hardware dysfunction?

Or drivers, or interference, or perhaps a general networking issue with the computer...

We don't know until we start eliminating possibilities.
