Exclamation Wireless Problems with my IMB T42!
Recently my IBM T42 stopped connecting to my wireless internet - and as such I have to use a wire into the router. Does anyone know why this might be? I'm willing to try anything, however I'm not overly fantastic with computers! Thanks guys

can you post an ipconfig /all
can you also post results from device manager
can you post make and models of modem/router

do you have the wireless encrypted -
Delete any wireless profiles on the laptop - see if that helps otherwise
take the encryption off the router and see if it works

does the laptop work on any other wireless network

check the firewall is not blocking your access

start>
control panel>
system>
hardware tab>
device manager button>

network adapters
click on the + sign

post backs whats there

also any ! X or ?
--------
ipconfig /all

TWO Methods to do that - some people have problems with ONE----

ONE ---------------------------------
start
run
cmd
ipconfig /all

rightclick in the box
select all
enter
control key + C key - to copy
then reply here and
control key + V to paste

TWO -----------------------------------------------

Start, Run, CMD to open a DOS window and type:

IPCONFIG /ALL >C:\RESULT.TXT

Open C:\RESULT.TXT with Notepad and copy/paste the entire results here.
