Solved: Computer can see server but can't access it.
I'm having trouble getting a computer connected to the server. The server is a Windows2000 and the computer is using Windows XP Home, which I know might be part of the problem.

I setup the workgroup because there is no way to join a domain with XP Home. Now the computer sees the server but cannot access any of the printers or drives on the server.

I'm very new to all this so if you could keep your answers very computer dumbified would be helpful.

"Windows2000" = Windows 2000 Server? Or Windows 2000 Pro? Or something else?

Windows 2000 Server. I actually think I figured it out though. I would still appreciate any wisdom you might have on the subject though.

I have no wisdom, knowledge or experience with respect to Windows 2000 Server. That's why I asked, instead of just sticking my foot in mouth by assuming Win 2k Pro.
