Need Help!!
Hi this is my first time here and im in need of a little help, I had an old computer that used to get broadband satellite a few years back- I ended up getting a new pc so gave that one to my daughter until recently it failed I was able to get it up and running after purchasing a new XP installation disk. I installed a fresh copy of XP Professional with SP3 and now seeming that its an old PC it has no-where to plug ethernet cable in for adsl as when I used to have BB Satellite I used a USB to Ethernet plug thing! Now I want to get it back onto the internet for her for schooling purposes and I am unable to do that I plug the USB to Ethernet plug in or I try using the USB cable that came with my adsl modem but I keep getting error code 28 something about no drivers, I mean I understand why there would be no drivers seeming the age and how long it has been since the pc was last online. But im assuming I have the right stuff to get broadband on there as ive had it before- I just dont know how to get drivers and other things to get the old pc working - when I cannot connect it to the net to update? Any help would be greatly appreciated , thanks in advance!

I personally would just go out and by a network card at the store.

Since you are posting this message to the internet, I assume you have some type of internet connection. Go to the manufacturers website and download the drivers to a floppy, USB stick or burn them to a CD.
