Solved: Problem with Belkin Wireless G Desktop Card (F5D7000 v7000)
My problem is that the connection drops alot, and by that I mean that when it drops, there IS a red X on the network card on the toolbar.
Im running XP SP2, and Im using the WZC tool, I dont have the Belkin Wireless Utility Installed.
Also, it seems to drop more when i have a network bridge set up in my computer (so that I can play on Xbox LIVE) Also, Ive noticed that the connection seems to drop more in the morning and afternoon, but it barely drops at night.
My router is a Linksys WRT54G v8. My Belkin Card has the latest drivers for the v7000, (I dont think that the drivers for the v8000 work for them anyways), also when it drops, when Im on the status thing, the timer stops when the connection is lost (for example, the connection stops at 0:00:10, it drops for 5 seconds, then when it comes back the timer jumps right to 0:00:15) Another thing is that when i have my xbox on in the network bridge, I have to unplug the ethernet cable out of my xbox so that the connection would stay (when it drops, the connection comes back, then it goes away, then it comes back again, is like this until I unplug the ethernet cord)
Ive also changed the channels in my router, Channel 11 was first, then went to 6, then to 1, now im in 6.
Also, this is the only computer with this problem, there are 2 Sony Vaio Laptops, they have to problem.
So before I break this Card in half, What can I do? Ive heard people say that the belkin drivers suck, but i dont know what other drivers to use (like from other manufacturers)
So please help me, This is really anoying, specially when Im playing Halo, then al the sudden, I lose connection

While it's probably not causing the problem I suggest you disable ICS when not using it.

Try the Belkin wireless utility and make sure WZC is disabled during the test.
