xp computer conected to wireless route, wirelss devices will not connect
My ipod and laptop both receive the signal from my router, but can not connect. How do I reset my password? Or enter the password into my ipod etc. so it recognises the signal? I've entered the password, but the do not connect, If you can't help, who do I call; my internet provider, or an it guy?

Disable encryption and MAC Address filtering on the router and try to connect. Assuming success you can probably re-enable encryption and reconnect. If unsuccessful please show ...

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista type CMD in the Search box after Start)

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.

uhhh,
Thanks for the help so far, how do I
"Disable encryption and MAC Address filtering on the router"?

I tried "wireless networks" on my control panel, it just directed me to insert a flash memory stick to copy numbers to my other computer.

Open a command prompt and type IPCONFIG

The address of the Default Gateway is the web address of your router. If you told us the exact make/model of the router we could offer more help.
