Solved: bridge question
Can I use my wireless bridge to connect directly to my wired only modem and use it as a wireless connection for all my computers? Can I even use it connected straight to my wired only modem for one computer to access the internet? Running Vista. (looking to see if it can be used as a router of sorts.)

You forgot to mention the brand and model of your wireless bridge; kinda tough to answer any questions about an unknown device.

It probably is also a wireless access point. A wireless access point can be connected to a modem to provide computer(s) wireless internet access. The number depends on your contract with your ISP--almost always just one.

I couldn't find the User Guide online. Maybe you'll need to look at it yourself.

The Installation Guide only talks about the bridge mode, so I'm guessing your unit does not perform as a wireless access point. But, suggest you check the manual or the configuration pages to make sure.

LOL If I had the manual I could surely read it. This is the entire reason I am here.

Sorry; there are people who post similar questions here who have never thought of looking in a manual. Uh, you've lost the CD, which is supposed to include the manual?

First hit for a search on Google for user manual WET54G. http://www.scribd.com/doc/2091174/WET54G-Manual

Doesn't anyone know how to use Google anymore?

Not me. I went to Linksys's site directly. Lot of good that did!
