Unhappy limited or no connectivity - Nothing works to fix it
Hi i Recently installed XP onto my Vista Laptop (Acer Aspire 4315). This Xp installation CD came with Xp SP2.

I Installed A Wireless Driver and then i got a message saying i Have limited or no connectivity. This is when i am trying to connect to my dads Wireless Router. I have also tried plugging the cable direct to my computer and still nothing.

I Have tried Many different approaches to fix this but nothing has worked.I Have tried all of the following and none have worked...

All the command prompt things and restarting lots
I tried doing stuff with the device manager but nothinbg it said worked
I have tried to uninstall SP2 and i think this the best approach i could take but it would not uninstall. I think this is because it came on the disk i installed XP on.
I have done lots of other tings to try and fix it but cant think of them right now.

When i try to repair my connection it says the problem is it cannot renew my wireless ip. If you have any idea how to do this please post.

Thanks

Get the XP drivers you need from Acer's web site. Install the chipset first, then networking, then anything else that still lacks a driver. Device Manager will identify the devices in need.
