Connecting Wii to Internet
Hello everyone,

I'm trying to connect my nintendo wii to the internet and need some help. I have my modem and router in some rooms away and in my room, I have my laptop and wii. My laptop has a ok connection to the wireless but my wii is has little to no connection (no bars showing, probably out of range). What I am trying to do is somehow broadcast and extend the laptops wireless to the wii so that it can connect. My laptop is connected to the internet only thru the wireless, not with the ethernet. I've read that you can turn your computer into a access point or bridge or something but I'm not knowledge able about networking so I wouldn't know. I also have two other routers that aren't in use; a d-link DIR-615 and a belkin F5D7230-4 if that helps any.

Here's a diagram showing what im trying to do:

How can I make this work? Thanks in advance!

Is there an obstruction in the path from router to the antenna of the wii? Maybe the laptop or a TV or the wii itself?

Yes, my room is many rooms away from the room with the router so there are walls and such in the way

Thats great and all, but i don't want to have to buy something. Is there anything i can do with the extra routers that i listed above? I have also read about making ur computer a bridge or something so i can just hook and ethernet cord from my laptop to my wii but I don't know how to do that and the guides that I have read are not helping...

Connect a cable between your laptop and wii (if neither port is auto-sensing it has to be a cross-over) and then in Network Connections bridge the wireless and ethernet. Some routers have a bug that prevents that from working so let me know if you get a duplicate IP error.
