Exclamation Verizon DSL losses connection
Hello,

I hope I am within the correct group. The church I belong to and am responsible for the computers and network is having a problem I am unable to diag. We have DSL with Verizon it has worked fine up until about 2 months ago. The problem is this.....When we either recieve a telephone call or place a telephone call we lost connectivity when the phone is usually hung up. Today I called in and was told that the internet went down when I was on the phone. I have already contacted Verizon who informed me that the line is good. Their answer was to send a new wireless dsl modem. I connected this modem and the same problem occurs.
Let me take a moment to explain our network.

I have 2 primary lines that come into the church. One is our main phone number the other is our DSL number.
XXXX = Main number
xxx1 = DSL, Phone, Fax machine
We also have a Partner phone system integrated into this mix.
I have a wirless router (netgear) which I turned off the dhcp and activated it as a wap.
The dsl modem that verizon sent us I also deactivated the wireless portion of that router to make it only wired.
The dsl modem is connected to a 24 port switch.
The phones are connected through the partner system and the dsl line does have a filter. I know the filter is good I just replaced it last week.

I am not sure if the dsl is able to work with the 3 functions dsl, phone & fax.

Speaking to verizon is absolutley useless and I don't have the magic number for the knowledgable helpdesk I have heard that keep tucked away in the far back of their closet. lol

I have a thought and maybe someone can let me know if this makes sence.

When a phone call is rcvd on line xxxx I have noticed that the xxx1 number appears........which is the dls line. Could this be what is causing the issue?
Or am I just looking for a convient answer?

Can someone out there please assist me with this?

Thank you
