Oh have I accidentally revealed my age with that comment hehe...

Thank you for the advice I shall have a peek when I return home from work today (see, not that young!) - I take it when you mean log onto the router you mean the 192.168.1.1 or similar into the browser? I shall get back to you once I have a rummage around. Thanks again for the advice. I'm sure we can get this sorted somehow, just needs a kick!

According to your ipconfig,it's 192.168.1.254 which would seem to indicate a direct modem connection
Make and model of modem please.
