Unhappy Wireless Internet
I have 2 Laptops and a westell gateway modem. Today i tried to create a home network to get some information from one laptop to the next. Well now the 2nd laptop won't connect to the internet wirelessly. I've tried setting both computers up on the same network but i'm dumb when in comes to computers. The laptop that will connect says name of the network but the 2nd one say "unidentified network". Someone please help and keep in mind that i'm not very good with computers.

Have you tried running Windows XP's Wireless Network Setup Wizard?

(I'm presuming you're using Windows XP. Not sure if Vista calls it this or not)

If the laptop w/o internet access is running Windows please show ...

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista or 7 type CMD in the Search box after Start)

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.
