Well, for a radius of 100 meters, I'd probably be looking at three wireless access points. Place them in a triangle at about 70 meters from the center of the circle at 120 degree separation on the circle for best coverage. One on channel 1, one on channel 6, and one on channel 11.

Obviously, you'd have to figure out how to wire between them.

thanks for info john
i am unable to set 3 AP so i will go with 2
there.s no obstacles (walls, etc) in the place i want to set it up
it.s the central square of my town
so i think ill go like this

modem linksys for internet connected directly to EDIMAX EW-7206APg with 12dbi outdoor antena then i use 50 meter utp cable to set Linksys WRT54GL at the second spot same with outdoor antena ...

is this a good solution or i need more stuff
in my country i think edimax is everything u can get if u search for antenas
i am planing to use only BI directional antenas

if u have sumting to update or i am missing sumting i will gladly accept any help

thanks

The range you get out of the two WAPs will determine if you need more stuff.

With a 100 meter radius, I'd probably place the two units a bit father than 50 meters apart, more like 70-80.

ok john or someone helpppp

i am still seting this thing up

what i did so far

i got some linksys and edimax equipment
modem linksys 360R it.s okay
WRT54GL flashed with DD-WRT
connection made through WRT54GL
i wasnt able to find connectors for the dish to set it up on WRT54GL
so i set it up on 1. edimax AP
so what i did
WRT - connection to internet + works as AP
the edimax AP that i have set the omni antena is connected as AP with diffrent SSID than WRT
and voila internet works just fine both AP.s work as a charm

but
the third AP same EDIMAX can.t connect with those two it.s bit far i tried all i culd think of ok what i am asking
how to set the third AP (i read something about crossover cable) but dont now if that will help
so i wired everything fine but can.t get the third one to work
help
and sorry for misspell

is there any chance to get it work as point to point or sumting

thank

Well, the wiring and the configuration should be identical to the other two WAP's with the exception of the wireless channel. If the others worked with a straight cable, I can't imagine why you'd suddenly need a crossover cable for one of them.

Can you post a diagram of how all of this is connected?

Well, I'm sure there are lots of programs, I use Microsoft Visio since I have it. Paint is fine as long as you indicate exactly what is wired to what.

hmm
the cable i used to connect linksys with edimax the one that work is the one that come in the box with WRT54GL it.s posible this cable to be crossover
the other cable i used it.s strait normal

distance between the working AP.s is 2 meters i did that couse i wasnt able to find cable from the omni antena that goes to WRT54GL

btw i got 70 meter radius with that way i covered 90% in the center of the town or even more

but i want to set 1 more AP near the bar so ppl can use their phones to surf the internet and that.s where the headache starts

i tried almost everything i could think of i am not giving up :P

ill try to make that diagram

The cable in the box is almost surely a straight cable. You should invest in a $20 cable checker, it'll help you identify the cables and tell you if the wires are all there.

Here's a cheap one that is probably sufficient to identify the cable wiring: http://www.summitsource.com/product_...oducts_id=6564

There's a chance, but only a small one. There are wireless repeaters, but my luck with them has been poor. IMO, they're much more trouble than they're worth.
