Network Chat
Does anybody know any free programs for LAN chat that don't require fussing with all the conencting it just scans your Network for other clients. Any suggestions? I have tried Google but their all crap. It needs to be compatible with Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008.

I'm not sure what you mean about fussing with all the connecting, a chat program is going to have to connect to SOMETHING in order to manage chat sessions across a LAN.

Have you checked out OpenFire? It has LDAP integration so it will automatically create the users from AD. The client is also pretty brainless to set up.

It is actually quite easy to manually setup the users and put them into groups.
