Solved: Gateway and Interface? VPN
Hello. I have set up a VPN with a friend to allow both of us to play on his game server, my vpn connection connects to his router (69.120.173.X). His VPN server assigns me this address 25.50.75.127, his address is 25.50.75.124. My NIC interface is 192.168.1.106. Im assuming I cannot connect to the game because my computer does not have a route in its routing table to find the way, ive been trying to add a route just to test my theory, but i dont know what interface address i should be using or gateway. Which interface should this data be exiting from to get to 25.50.75.127?.. Oh, and the vpn connection works, its just that i cant ping his local address, which means something must be wrong. something isnt getting somewhere, right?

Why are you using routeable, public addresses for your VPN pool?

What kind of addresses should I be using? My pc is connected to a router, which is connected to my ISP, and so is he.

Your friend should be using one of the private addresses reserved for internal addressing:

10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255
