I changed my password within the router before doing the IPCONFIG and PINGs so I could get online. That was the only thing changed. Was I supposed to leave that alone? The information IPCONFIG gave me was the same either way, but I know some of the pings would have failed. Now I'm going to forward my ports, enable UPnP, and disable my firewall in the router again, unless you'd advise against that.

In this case, the computer IP was the first pinged address, the default gateway and DNS servers were the same (and the second pinged address), and the rest is what you said to ping.

All the pings appear to have worked, you didn't post the IPCONFIG /all from the router for the last configuration.

My bad. Thought you were only interested in the pings.

ipconfig /all

What are you trying to get done? Maybe I can look for how to do it it myself to help this process out a little.

Everything appears to be working there, did you try forwarding the ports?

Yeah, I forwarded the ports already. Still at a NAT 3. I'm going to try DMZ tomorrow.

Again, I had stuff to do, which is why I'm replying late. But I'm still at NAT 3. So, does anyone have suggestions? I think we've done everything...

If putting it in the DMZ didn't help, you have something like another router blocking the ports.

Didn't you say before that my modem was like another router? Wait a minute...

If you put the PS3 in your DMZ, but still have the ports forwarded to it in the port forwarding section, do those "cancel out" and put you back at NAT 3?

We need to have some clarity of what's going on, because I'm lost now.

Let's see a screen shot of the WAN configuration page for your router. I want to make SURE that our assumptions about the configuration are correct.

I'd also like to see the configuration where you're setting up the DMZ in the router.

Shots of both my WAN categories and the DMZ page are included.

I'm assuming that the 192.168.10.100 is the IP address of the PS3? If so, I don't see why that doesn't work.

Yeah, it is. Me neither. I don't know what's happening.Maybe I have some settings off or something. Haven't played my PS3 in a while on account of homework.I'll see tomorrow.

It's not even that the connection is that bad at NAT 3; I just keep hearing that NAT 2 is the best.

It's a mystery! I can't see why this wouldn't give you a pipeline to the outside world.

On a hunch, I redid IPCONFIG on the router-modem connection. Now the information is all weird.

Sorry to double post, but I've kind of given up. I don't know what happened. I can't get rid of the above data when I type in IPCONFIG. I played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with my modem hooked into the PS3 and it was way better than through the router (although I had everything set up right). I think I'll just buy another router. Can you guys recommend any reliable, wired routers (with documentation and support) for under 40 bucks? Under 20 would be awesome too, but I'm not THAT naive.
