I have never had any problems with ZA John

Now i think of it when i was installing avast there was a message popped up about a part of it that wasnt compatible with za
wull try avg again then if that doesnt help

the windows firewall and fingers crossed it might help

have uninstalled avast and reverted back to AVG

Fingers and toes crossed

I was fiddling around in IE and came across this

under the security tab i had TSG as a trusted site but the box require server verification htpps for all sites in this zone was ticked

now please tell me it was not that simple

Yep, it may have been that simple. I totally forgot about that option.

So would that setting in IE affect all your other browsers, as I understood it was happening in all the browsers you used..

i use ie all the time

was something Mike said in a post about port 43
thats the port that uses secure connection for example online banking
