the scan just gets stuck at 58% I left it overnight and still no joy! I think I have given up I thought I found a solution in another thread as my laptop says that Windows wireless service is not runnning on this computer but my regisry looked ok, so I'm pretty much beaten and it looks like a reinstall for me!

it's ok i'm in my WLAN autoconfig and it says the service status is stopped but when I try and turn it back on I get Error 1747: The authentication service is unknown. Think I'll run down this trail for a while and see where it leads, thanks for all you help x
