#31 | Not sure why that is blinking, I can only see ON/OFF
I suggest you log back into the router take a look and note the settings
and reset the router back to factory condition - reset button on back
then log backin and setup the router .. | | Junior Member with 22 posts.

#32 | Very weird! My internet is working now. I have no idea why? I didn't try anything different. Just turned on the computer and clicked on router name and it works! I wonder if I make my router secure again if it'll mess anything up. | | Moderator with 18,679 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2003 Location: Surrey, UK Experience: Intermediate |

#34 | I took security off, but I did that earlier when you told me to try it, but it didn't seem to help. | | Moderator with 18,679 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2003 Location: Surrey, UK Experience: Intermediate |

well, you may want to put the secruity back on - but I would allow it work for a while - so you know everything is OK
then try adding secruity and see what happens, if you cannot connect with security on
Try different levels WEP - WPA
and also change channels 1 or 6 or 11
Note cordless phones can cause problems with secruity, changing channels often resolves the issue | | Junior Member with 22 posts.

The channel is on 11 now, so I should try another channel? | | Moderator with 18,679 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2003 Location: Surrey, UK Experience: Intermediate |

#37 | did you change the channels to 11 or was that how it was already set?
if you have not change you could try changing it, I not sure why the WLAN is blinking......... it should be ON or OFF according to the manual | | Junior Member with 22 posts.

#40 | I'm going to try turning the security back on. Which would be my best option to choose?
WEP
WPA-PSK [TKIP]
WPA2-PSK [AES]
or
WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES]? | | Moderator with 27,163 posts. | | Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Ottawa, IL Experience: Intermediate to Advanced |

#41 | Best is WPA2-PSK [AES] if everything supports it.
WEP is least good. | | Junior Member with 22 posts.

#42 | I used AES, and so far so good. Very weird, I wonder why it didn't work for a few days?
Thanks for the help!! | |
