router
have internet and phone with virgin media, did use virgin"s speedtouch but changed to a d-link which has now failed.bought a belkin 54g and installed, when prompted for user name and password (as i did when first used virgin)it said it could not be recognised by virgin so i carried on and as you can see i am still on the net.so as i signed up with virgin can i use any router i want,i know it might be a strange question to ask but i need to be sure.

only virgin will answer that, you need to look at the virgin T&C you signed
some ISP will allow you to put any router onto the connection, however, should anything go wrong, they will NOT provide telephone support
Others insist on using there equipment .....

But the router is working .....
