#26 | OK so the HomeLnE is your wireless signall from the router
Notice it says WPA/PSK under default auth
Lets turn that off
Log back into the router - with a cable connected between router and PC
take off the wireless secruity
goto the wireless section
secruity options
should see a list
None
WEP
WPA
etc
click on None
save the settings
now back to the PC
then the wireless program should see Open instead of wpa
try and connect now | | Senior Member with 146 posts. | | Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: u.k Experience: Beginner |

#29 | have a look at the bottom of the router and see if you have a number called
something like
Passcode
Encryption key
secruity code
we can try and use that to connect wirelessly - if you cannot login and switch it off | | Senior Member with 146 posts. | | Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: u.k Experience: Beginner |

#30 | I looked on the bottom of the router and the password was password, i entered that along with the username admin but it still didnt work. I just got off the phone with Virgin and they said that a setting needs to be changed because the adapter can't recognise the router and that I need to go to a technician. | |
