Solved: Sharing the internet between Mac and Windown Vista without a wireless router?
Hello all my helpers!
I want to share my internet between 2 computers, but I dont want to buy a wireless router. I know that it can share the internet with each other in this situation, if both is running on the same operating system. But I have 2 computers which are running on different OS, one is Mac OS X and other is Windown Vista.I dont know they can communicate to each other or not?Can anyboby please help me to carry out this problem?
Thank you very much!

If you have the Internet connection running to the Vista computer, configure ICS and the MAC should be able to share the Internet. Don't know how to do ICS with a Mac, you'll have to wait for other responses if that's your configuration.

So, you have the Internet connected to the Mac and want to share the connection with the Vista machine?

I don't either, so waiting is the correct response.

Maybe this will work for you. These are for sharing using ethernet to the MAC and the MAC's Airport card to a wireless adapter on the Windows machine.

If you have a second ethernet adapter on the MAC, set up would be similar, except that shared to device would be the second ethernet card.

Shiran_Tran,

If the Internet connection sharing is working I am happy for you.

You can mark the problem as "Solved" by clicking the Solved button in the top left corner of your first post in this thread. This will make it easier for others to find the solution.
