Wireless repeater help
I have a WRE54G repeater. I've once successfully went through the setup, but it ended up assigning the same SSID for the repeater and the router

when I went to connect on my laptop it only showed the wireless router under the list of available connections. I could tell this because the signal strength was way low, and I had the repeater nearby.

so, I need to know first, is the repeater supposed to have the same SSID?? and the channels, are they supposed to be the same?
