Unhappy Connection to Main Router
I've been having problems connecting to the main router/computer's internet, I previously was able to until they secured the connection, they added me to there list so that I would be able to join but I cannot, my computer has a 2.4GHz - 802.11g wireless router and its the same one I used before the network was secured, please if you can help it would be greatly appreciated, I know you need certain specs of the computer/router, if you create a list of what you would like I will post back the results, thanks

p.s. I really am trying to get this sorted before I get Modern Warfare 2.....

Well, since it worked before the security was applied, it sounds like you have one of about three issues.
  1. Your encryption key is incorrect.
  2. You have not been added to the MAC filtering list.
  3. Your drivers are not updated enough to run advanced encryption.
  • We need to know what type of encryption is in use, WEP, WPA, WPA2.
  • What is the version and exact patch level of Windows?
  • Have you downloaded and installed the latest drivers for your wireless card.
  • What are the exact indications of your failure to connect?
  • Have you removed ALL stored wireless network profiles and searched for the network?
