Solved: Can't loagin to my default gateway.
I'm trying to portforward and whenever I try to type in my user and pass, the password gets all messed up. I type in:

192.168.1.1

Into the address bar and try to type my password. When I try this, I type one letter, 3 letters appear. I don't know why this happens, but it does. Anyone know why and how to fix this?

can you post make and model of router / modem etc
how you are connected to the router

{ipconfig /all}
We would like to see the results from ipconfig /all

-> Start > run {search bar in Vista} > cmd > ipconfig /all
post back the results here

TWO Methods to do that - if you cannot access the internet with PC, then use method 2 to copy onto a machine that can access the internet and post results here

Method ONE -------------------------------------------------------------
start > run {search bar in Vista} > cmd > ipconfig /all

rightclick in the box
select all
enter
control key + C key - to copy
then reply here and
control key + V to paste

Method TWO -------------------------------------------------------------

Start> Run {search bar in Vista}> CMD to open a DOS window and type:

IPCONFIG /ALL >C:\RESULT.TXT

Open C:\RESULT.TXT with Notepad and copy/paste the entire results here.

I'm connected to the router by a Belkin Wireless G USB Network Adapter #5. The maker of the router is Verizon and the model is M1424WR.

You mean by a wired connection? Then no, because we don't use wired connections. I try to connect to my gateway address from my laptop, but it doesn't work either. Is there a command to type in to change my gateway address's password?

When you loginto a router and make any changes or look at status - you want to make sure that the the connection is stable, and when the router reboots - you dont want to loose connection ..

Just want to make sure this is your router and you are not logging into someone elses ..
