Access Windows Home Network without being on it?

Hey, Is there a way of accessing a Windows Home Network without being on that network. I have some huge files (4 GB +) (Ripped DVD's) that I stream using XBMC and I was wondering if there was a way...

P.S
By Accessing it I mean connecting to it using another Computer (Probably Windows) that is NOT on the same Network...
