Unhappy Stack repair not working
My configuration is as follows: Windows XP SP3, AMD x2 6400, 2xgeforce 8600gt sli, 2gb ram, asus 570n, 1000w psu, Belkin wireless 54g adapter, and 400gbmain/1tb slave

Some people have similar problems as me and I have searched all over the forums; problem is still not fixed. I can access the internet briefly and it just stops responding after a couple hundred mb's of transfer but connection status still shows as ok. I tried visiting several websites on 3 different browsers(IE,FF,Chrome). The only website that worked was gmail and that only worked on chrome, but not on the other browsers. Instant messengers still work and other computers/devices connected to the network are all working just fine. I have tried cycling router, ipconfig fix, tcp/ip stack repair, uninstalling/reinstalling drivers, turned off firewall/antivirus/spybot(checked for viruses and spyware before turning them off), tried different usb ports, pinged google.com and status was ok, and I even tried a new belkin wireless n adapter. Restarting the computer only proves temporary and the cycle starts all over again. Any other ideas?

I could always reinstall windows or format my drive but installing all those apps and all my configurations would take up a whole day

Well, from the description, my top suspect would be malware. You restart and it works for a short time then fails?

Do virus and spyware scans first, that's where I'd start.
