Can't connect my Tivo to Windows PC to share internet
Hello,

I connect to the internet by tethering my iPhone via USB. I would like to share this internet with my Tivo so it can update the TV guide.

I've connected my Tivo to my Windows 7 PC using a crossover cable, plugged into an ethernet card. I set up ICS for the Apple Mobile Device Ethernet.

I've left everything as dynamic (for both the ethernet adapter and the Apple Mobile Device Ethernet) but Tivo won't connect, it says:

'No DHCP server found (N02)'

Here is what my ipconfig looks like...

...the IP address on the Intel Ethernet card looks very strange, as do the DNS servers...

Am lost as to what to do...can anyone help?

Thank you

I agree that the IP configuration for the Apple Mobile Device card looks somewhat strange, but if you're getting internet access through the iPhone with it don't fight it.

"IP Routing Enabled .... No" means that ICS is not enabled. Maybe you missed an "apply" or "ok" somewhere. Try again. When you succeed the ipconfig /all will show Yes for IP Routing Enabled and the ethernet connection to the Tivo will have IP 192.168.0.1.
