Possibly, D-Link tech support contacted me, I'm going to wait on their response. I pointed them to this as a detailed explanation, now the hard part, waiting. I tried the reinstall and got nowhere there either. I noticed though during the reinstall, the power light is blinking, rather slowly. I think I'll look into this too. May have the problem there, don't know.

I just located a post here concerning forcing the driver in by altering the inf file to reflect the proper vendor id, since I have a copy in zip I'm gonna try.

Okay here's what happened. I changed the inf files in the wda driver and an atheros driver drivers (the atheros worked the best out of everything I have tried today). The inf files each had lines that stated vendor and device codes that were 168C and 0012,0013, etc.The problem vendor codes were easily changed, then I sent the device manager after them. The atheros first, device wont start; the wda next, it won't start either. I seem to remember reading something about the power light blinking somewhere, but can't find it again.

BUT I got the dang driver in!!, I guess I'll have to start a new thread on that one, or should I?
