Access actual Wireless NIC in Virtual PC '07
Been toying around with Virtual PC '07, installed a Virtual XP on my Windows 7 system, I've set the Virtual PC settings to use my Wireless card and so, when Windows 7 is connected to the network, the Virtual PC is. However, my school uses a legacy wireless authentication client to manage the connection and thus, I need to install it in the Virtual XP and have it access the actual wireless card, not the virtualised Intel Ethernet bridging to my Windows 7 connection.

Is this even possible? Research I've done so far leads me to be doubtful.

FWIW, I capture the USB wireless device and load the drivers into the Virtual XP machine, wireless works great here with Windows 7. You'd have to use the wireless connection within the Virtual XP Mode, as long as that's not an issue, you're fine.

Cheers, bit of an annoyance really, decided to go a different route because Virtual XP won't let me do what I want, downgraded the wireless drivers of the computer to XP drivers and for some dumb reason the client software (instaled in 7) can now see the school network whereas before it could only see the local WPA2 networks, wierd. It connects and authenticates but I don't get an IP address, funny how everything needs to be so complicated.
