IE not working
My IE Browser is not working. If you click on it, it acts as though it is going to load... the screen pops up and then closes.

I do not have another browser loaded on my pc to try.

I have tried going to Control Panel, Internet Options... to reset the browser, but that won't load either.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

What is the version and patch level of Windows on this machine?

This sounds like a corrupt copy of IE, have you tried SFC.

Start, Run, SFC /SCANNOW

It might just be a crashed ad-on that is not behaving properly, which would likely require you visit the Anti Spyware section of this forum for better support.

Regardless, see if you can open Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)

Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)

If it opens, it is something you added/installed that is causing the problem, and you can likely fix it with the Add-Ons Manager (Within IE) or even HiJackThis

To Open the Add-ons Manager:

Sometimes, you have to tap ALT to get the menubar to show in IE, or you have to right-click within IE just to the right of the tabs and select "Menu Bar"

Tools > Internet Options (Or Right-Click on IE, Internet Options) >>>Programs Tab > Manage Add-ons (button)

You will probably be able to get IE working...
