Unhappy Solved: Connection
So heres my problem, I'm online and I go to youtube, which doesn't work because it says I need to turn on JavaScript or get the latest Flash Player, which I have and JavaScript is turned on. So I thought I'd download flash player anyways, which doesn't work because it says I must be connected to the internet and make sure I'm connected, which of course I am. It also says something about a proxy server, which I think my settings are perfect.

So after being fraustrated with that, I decide to go on MSN for a chat, yet again, it won't connect and says its something to do with my connection.

I'm using Virgin as my ISP and my firewall is NOT blocking them. Does any of you beautiful people know whats going on and how to fix it? I'll give you a cookie if you do!

Open IE, Tools, Internet Settings, Connections. Click on the LAN Settings and uncheck everything there, OK, OK, and try it again.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command:

Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command.

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter to copy the contents to the clipboard.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

it first started when I was trying to watch videos on youtube, then it started saying 'Enable javascript' or 'instal latest flash player' but i knew i had both already

then yesterday msn stopped connecting. It said my contact list wans't available.

I tried to download the latest flash player for youtube sake and it gives this message: "In order to use a proxy, please enter the following data and ensure that you are connected to the Internet": Address: and Port:

I'm thinking you have malware. The progression of symptoms seems to suggest that.
