Compex NP27G Router - cannot display website
When trying to display the Router web-page,since today, I get the following message (after one or more years that all was OK):
"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"

also I am trying to connect a portable disk to the Router's USB, what should be configured for that (afrer connecting the USB cable)?

Thanks

zionshea.

What makes you think that router supports a USB disk? On their site, it makes no mention of a file server function.

As far as access, please do this.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command:

Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command.

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter to copy the contents to the clipboard.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

Thanks JohnWill for your quick reply.

Regarding the USB connection to the router; this router has two USB sockets; few months ago I had my printer connected to this router with the USB connection.

Following is the content of the IPCONFIG /ALL command:
(by the way; I am using the following command to display the router webpage:
http://192.168.168.1/en/login.asp, it worked before...)

A print server is a fairly common addition to a router but control of a USB disk drive is less common. Again, I didn't see where that option exists, but I couldn't find the manual for that router.

That IPCONFIG looks very odd, especially the DNS Server addresses. It's rare to see such divergent addresses.

Have you tried a plain 192.168.168.1 in the IE address bar to access the router configuration?

yes I have also tried the plain access to 192.168.168.1 but still get the same problem.

the following is from the Compex NP27G manual:

2X integrated USB ports supporting:
• Print Server
• Storage disk drive

Well, 192.168.168.1 appears to be the address of the router.

What does the manual say about accessing the web based setup? Do you have a link to the manual?

I am attaching a text version of the User manual (less formatted and with no pictures, te manual itself is very heavy).
