Gday folks , hope you are all well . Can anyone solve this problem for me ?
My wife was given a laptop and I am trying to get wireless connection The laptop is a AXIOO Neon model MNC and I purchased a ASUS wireless router WL-500gP V2 My cable connection runs to the Optus router ,to the wireless router then to my desktop computer which is running fine and shows that local connection is working . When I try to use the laptop, which has Win 7 installed, and using WAN PPPOE, it says I have a connection under my user name but no connection to internet and says error 651. it has also said no DNS connection ??????? How do I solve this and PLEASE I am no compter wizard so please send step by step instructions Thanks in advance , amd hope to hear soon

Disconnect it and just use the wireless router. Use the set up disk and it should connect OK.

Why are you using PPPoE if you have a router?

Connect with a wired connection from that machine to the router and post the following information.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command:

Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command.

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter to copy the contents to the clipboard.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

Hi guys I still got the problem and cannot do away with the Optus modem because it is cable connection and I cant find an adaptor that will let me connect directly with the wireless modem. It is one of those screw in connectors to the Optus modemand the wireless one does not have a screw in port WAH
