Solved: WIFI Hotspots
I have seen some info about GoGo, Boingo, Jiware etc that can be used for WIFI hotspots for a fee. Are these activities worth the investment or just another sham operation.

Thanks

Well, they're real businesses, not a scam. As to whether they're worth the price, that depends on the places you go and the coverage of the specific network. FWIW, Verizon FiOS gives you free access to some pay networks as part of the service.

I didn't know that about Verizon and in fact I was about to look into their service

You just have to go sign up if you're a FiOS customer and they give you a link to download the software and your access codes. They also have a hotspot finder that will let you know what's close based on ZIP code or address.

OK thanks for the info

It interests me because I intend to puchase a netbook, for convenience & to settle
bar conversations, a hobby so to speak. Nice to be retired
