Keep losing connection; something about DNS configuration?
So, I decided to register here, because it seems like you people know what you're doing.
I lurked a bit before deciding to post, but to no avail so I figured I'd post my issue and see if anyone knows how to deal with it.

Okay, so basically my internet works sometimes for hours, but occasionally it will screw up majorly, and disconnect me quite literally every 10 minutes for 5 minutes at a time before reconnecting, this can go on for a long time before it'll work properly again, some days it will do it all day.

The error I get is something like "Unable to configure DNS-server" or something like that.
I've cable, two machines hooked up through a router and a modem(both of these seem to work fine).
Although I made sure and tried reseting both my modem and my router, plus I tried restoring my router to factory defaults, which did .. nothing. I've called up my ISP and told them, and at first they thought it was an issue with their things out in the area that I live, so they sent a technician to fix that(they didn't send him to me, just to fix their.. thingy) and that did nothing, and they say everything is green from their view.

I've tried reseting some things through cmd, but that did nothing either, my wires are firmly connected, so I'm I'm really unable to locate the issue.

Any help would be appreciated!

Do both computers have the same issue?

The description of the issue screams out ISP to me.

What's the exact make/model of the modem and the router?

Turn the router and modem over and give us the exact make/model from the label.
