network protection
My office pc is on a network and I found recently that pretty much anyone curious enough can access all the files on my desktop. I want to know how I can password protect my pc from everyone else in the network? Is there a better, easier option?

Are you able to turn off file sharing on your computer?

Might help if we knew what operating system you are running.

Is anyone at your company responsible for your network and/or helping users with problems?

I would suggest talking to the network administrator about your privacy and security concerns. Anything we may suggest could easily get you into trouble for violating company policies.
